My boyfriend and I are heading to Sicily this summer and I could not be more excited!
I finished my masters degree a couple of weeks ago and am in desperate need of a holiday!
Cannot wait for La Dolce Vita con pasta e aperol!!
Summer is one of my favourite times of the year because it feels like the whole world is awake, full of life and colour! In London especially, we are so lucky to have a city filled with large green open spaces, with so many forms of life blossoming.
If you are someone who works in an office, take advantage of the outdoors and sit in a park at lunchtime rather than eat at your desk. Going for even a 10 minute every day improves both mental and physical health so much!
I don't know about you, but this has been a loooonnng winter, and I have definitely started to see the effects on my hair and skin. Now my nose is out of the books and I no longer need to study, I am drinking up the sun! Vitamin D is so important for so many aspects of health. The sun also just seems to put everyone in the best mood!
I have, of course, been putting on tons of sun-cream especially as I am very fair skinned. There is something about the smell of sun-cream that makes me so happy. It's such a happy childhood smell for me, and it has made me have no use for my usual skincare moisturisers!
There is something so romantic and lovely about summer dates. Being able to just step out in a summer dress, some heels and a light jacket and be whisked out to a romantic restaurant is such a treat! I am so looking forward to eating on a table outside a restaurant in the perfect balmy evening temperatures!
GOING OUT TO THE THEATRE
I am so lucky to live in central London. As an actress, being near the West End is a dream. However because of my masters I haven't had enough time to see barely any plays or musicals recently. I am going to make this my priority this summer and see as much as possible! One learns so much from plays and films and books. I find it so inspiring and excited to make my own work!
I hope this blog post got you excited for summer! Let me know in the comments below what you're excited about!
